Excellent location to walk to the major tourist attractions. Parking available but you need to get in early.
Room was in a run down condition facing inland. No English news programmes on the tv, only Euro sports. No tea making facilities in the room. One lift out of two out of service for long periods.
It location for Taragonna city walk is excellent with a lovely view of both the coast and Roman theatre.
The parking was not available and we were advised by the hotel to park in a square not too far away but the bill was 50 euros for 2 nights. Be sure to take your passportwith you if you fancy the casino, no admission without. The bar service was pretty poor and the bar had little atmosphere. No facility to stop and unload car. Would only recommend for Location and balcony view.
Pool not open, you can sunbathe there but no swimming. Staff not particulary friendly!
Location was superb, with only a 3 minute walk to the Casc Antic (old walled city) and 1 minute walk to the Rambla Nova with it's restaurants, bars etc. View from room was the best we'd ever experienced. Sea view looking over the Roman ampitheatre, Roman fort, beach and views to Punta de la Negra in the distance. Room was fairly typical for Spain. Comfortable bed. Very quiet considering it's right in the centre of town on a big main road. Didn't opt for breakfast at 14 Euro each, since we walked into the Casc Antic every morning and took our pick from the numerous pavement cafes. However, restaurant is first-rate. Lovely housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff
Needs decorating. 70s style artex in corridors. Noisy old air con units in room. Bath/Shower very old and just functional. 4'6 double bed was a bit small for us, being used to a queen or king size. Kids next door had twin beds much larger actually so will opt for this next time. Reception staff OK but a little surly occasionally. This is usual for Catalunyan hotels though. It's nothing personal, it's just to do with the manner. These are only small niggles though, and overall we'd certainly visit again.
This hotel has an excellent location right, next to both the old town and the new main street. Make sure you get a room facing the sea... the view is fantastic!
When we arrived, the room was in good order, except for the bathroom... which had not been cleaned at all !
Front desk was courteous and very helpful with check-in and check-out. We arrived early and the hotel provided a secure place for our bags until oour room was available.
Floor tiles in bathroom were cracked and some were missing. Looked like temporary repairs.
The location was excellent, and the view was fantastic.
Very poor breakfast, eggs like a hard brick, poor choice, and very expensive. They also told me breakfast was included when I checked in, then charged me 13 euros. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable.
The views from the hotel are wonderful
The hotel is old and run down. I booked 2 nights but only stayed for 1 because there was a festival happening and the band played very loudly outside the hotel until 5 am - I had no sleep at all.
The location was the best part. It was easy to walk just about anywhere downtown.
It was difficult to get information from the staff. They were definitely not rude, but they were not overly helpful in any way either.
Staff were friendly and helpful during check in and out and regarding the local area. There were good views of the Roman ruins from hotel window.
The room was very smelly. We think it was mildew in the bathroom because the ventilation was not working. When we told the front desk they said they would look into it but they did nothing during our stay. The free WiFi advertised is actually a single 30 minute block per day of slow WiFi in the lobby which only one person can use at a time. It was much more convenient to use WiFi outside the hotel at cafes.
We had a nice view of Circus Roman and if you push yourself out of the window you could see also famous Amfiteatr
I especially asked while booking for a double bed and it was booked for me a twin bed but the receptionist changed the room for us after seeing my printed booking infos. As for 4+ stars hotel I was expecting a free parking and minibar free of charge but if you would use either of them you need to pay quite a lot
Conference facities good
Dirty room, ashtray full of cigarette butts, top of the TV covered in dust
Comfortable rooms. Swimming pool and outside areas
Surlyness of some of the restaurant waiters
Great location overlooking the sea and parking secure. Easy to find. Rooms good size, comfortable and nice balcony. Lovely sunrise from the room. Staff helpful and nice terrace at the front of the hotel for coffee or lunch. For the number of stars and price I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel has a great location near the beach & just across the road from the old town. The staff were helpful and there's lots to do in the hotel from tennis, table tennis to swimming. The pool & garden area was nice with lots of trees to take shade from the summer sun!
The decor of the hotel was a little dated & it was difficult to get parking at the hotel as the car park is very small for the size of the hotel.
